Is it giving a child too much power in the family to give her the master bedroom and the master bath?

The child is my 13 yr old granddaughter, and her father is buying a new house. He plans to give her the master bedroom and the master bathroom. I think that is just too much. He is elevating her to a position in the family above that of her mother ( in my opinion) and he already gives her everything and expects nothing. she has NO chores to do, and if her mother gives her chores to do, daddy steps in and tells her she doesn't have to do them, that he'll do them ( and of course he never does) has control of their computer, and her father is now planning of buying her a very expensive laptop computer, ipod, and a brand new cell phone. Her brother is 10, has a tiny bedroom and an XBox. The father asked me my opinion, and I told him exactly what I thought and he got mad at me. I'd like some other opinions from some of you. Thank you.
