A good place to learn to snowboard in Europe?

I know there are a great number of places, and anywhere there is snow but are there any issues with language barriers when it comes to instructors? As much as I'd love to speak another language all I can manage thus far is English. Also somewhere that is fairly cheap and lively would be tops? I'll be around all throughout winter and am from Australia.
